Useful Weather Links

Hi all,

We all share interesting 'live update' weblinks from time to time so I thought it would be a good idea start a thread with a list of these links.

I have picked up most of these links from members over the past 7 months, since I joined the weather forum. Thanks to you I am able to decipher (well i try to at least) forecasts and current conditions for myself.

I hope the below are as of much use to others as they have been for me.

An up to date thread is good, but worth going through the old links thread as well and perhaps updating here what is still current.

Great work WolfIRE!

I think a thread as useful as this should be sticked. There are less useful threads up there imo.

Here are a few of my bookmarked global weather sites:

http://www.uni-koeln.de/math-nat-fak...terkarten.html

http://www.nws.noaa.gov

http://www.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca

http://www.bom.gov.au

and you should consider joining this forum:

http://www.easternuswx.com/forum

(because you can't see any of the maps or graphics unless you're a member, even if you have no interest in participating, you'll find this a good source of detailed discussions on global developments and of course North American weather if you're into that)

PM me if you can't find things you expect to find on any of these sites, some of the navigation is not very straight-forward.

Click on my signature and delve into a few links there.

It'll keep you occupied for a while.

Met-monkey has one of the most comprehensive list of weather charts I've come across on the net
It also gives a short synopsis of what each chart is used for which is a particularly useful feature for beginners.
