Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Which means extra charges in the form of Irish VAT on top of UK VAT, plus charges. UK sites not removing VAT or .ie shipping from UK

    I'll start:

    Cross.com - AT Cross - Removing UK VAT. DHL Charging Irish VAT + €5 clearance
    Screwfix.ie Removing UK VAT
    Microsoft

    Do not order anything from littlewoodsireland.ie None of their deliveries are getting through customs.They say they are Irish VAT registered.

    Just adding it to this thread for info - DPD are the courier that deliver gap.eu orders in Ireland (via Hermes in the UK, where the orders are dispatched from), and will charge a customs fee. I just paid a €14.08 fee (including a €5 DPD fee) for a pair of jeans from Gap that cost €41

    Gap are now issuing refunds for those that may have already paid the customs charge on their orders since the 1st, so I'd infer this now means that they are accounting for the VAT correctly on orders now.

    THE WORKS - even though they have ( 1? ) irish branch everything ships from UK , customs charges etc a, delivery by DPD, won't be using again alas
