Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Rollout plans for the new Boards.ie

Over the next 3 weeks, we plan on rolling out our new look website for everyone to see as the default look for Boards.ie. If you'd like to have a look at how the new site is coming together, you can click the "Responsive Site" link on the bottom of the home page. Starting later today, if you are outside the Republic of Ireland, you'll be seeing the new site by default (this way we have a slower and more manageable roll-out).
If you wish to switch back to the older look ahead of time, which we're going to be running for another few months whilst we continue to develop the new site, you'll see a link for the Legacy Site on the top right corner (Legacy being the term we use in the software game for "old"
). The Legacy site will be available until the end of 2016 for sure, maybe longer if it doesn't cause us any problems (it's too early to tell if it will, that's a decision for 6 months time). 36
