I ordered 2 dresses from Monki last week and they arrived this morning.

The first is an oversized rust coloured buttoned dress with a poodle print on it.

The second is a belted shirt dress with an oil painting print. Baggier than expected but they are actually gorgeous on.

Ordered these trousers yesterday from Zara. I'm hoping next month to get the cargo trousers below.

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/leather-cargo-trousers-p02154046.html?v1=45639020&v2=1499727

I know I'm getting older when I start to find stylish loose fitting trousers just as appealing as a tight fitting pair.

My H&M order arrived today, took about 10 days I think. I love both, perfect fits.

I need to reign in the ordering now! The fact I don't have to pay for childcare at the moment is causing me to go a bit mad!

I bought these from Vero Moda yesterday. Bit more than I normally would spend on trousers, but I wanted a pair like this for ages, especially for spring/summer. https://www.veromoda.com/ie/en/vm/shop-by-category/trousers-and-leggings/wide-legs-trousers-10225395.html?cgid=vm-trousers&dwvar_colorPattern=10225395_LightBlueDenim&utm_medium=transactional_email&utm_source=dispatch

Got an order from H&M today and I think I'll be keeping everything (3 items)

    This dress:

    https://www2.hm.com/en_ie/productpage.0876770001.html

Its cotton and very light so might need a slip, but its loose and flowy and what I live in on holidays (if I get to have one!) I'll wear it in my back garden regardless.

    https://www2.hm.com/en_ie/productpage.0690936001.html

Again keeping on the natural fibers theme - I sized up as the waist has a drawstring and I want everything light and loose.

    https://www2.hm.com/en_ie/productpage.0821163008.html

More linen - sized up again as I didnt want it tight across my chest

Happy overall, would love to wear all of the above on holiday but will wear these in Ireland over the summer if we get even semi decent weather.

Picked up a pair of red leather saltwater sandals. It’s likely I’ll be working from home for the summer so I’ll get great wear out of them. I normally buy a pair of basic sandals from ASOS or new look and wear them to death for the summer months but these should last me a couple of years if not more so will hopefully be worth the money.

I ordered online from Mira Mira boutique in Dublin, shop local and all that.

These are lovely and I honestly don't think you'll go back to buying cheap sandals! I stopped a few years back and it was a revelation - sandals don't have to be uncomfortable if worn for any length of time. I always used to come home from holidays with blisters and sore feet from wearing cheap sandals with no arch support and very little cushioning so my feet we basically absorbing all pressure from walking on pavements.

Anyway, I'm rambling but this arrived from H&M this morning, part of their Conscious collection.

I live for dresses like this in summer! I can see me hosting a BBQ in this once we're allowed have friends over again :)

I'm waiting for this one to be delivered. I'm not sure if it will work for me because usually sleeveless dresses with clinched waist or fitted top work best for me but I like the easy style and pink color suits me at the moment.

So I've just treated myself again.

    *Let the self justification begin!*

I placed an order with a small independant British label, Kitri. I'd been following them on Insta for a while and they have some bold pieces that I like a lot.

So the first thing is hugely impractical and not remotely appropriate for this time of year but massivly reduced and I couldnt resist.

    https://kitristudio.eu/products/olivia-cow-print-faux-fur-coat?_pos=1&_sid=32213443f&_ss=r

I love a good faux fur and I have a few in various lenghts and colours that I've been accumulating over maybe the past 10 years and I wear them all.

    https://kitristudio.eu/products/lydia-animal-print-skirt?_pos=1&_sid=9dea373fe&_ss=r

I love skirts like this, so fun with just a plain white T.

Excited for both of these to arrive so I can get a measure of the fit and quality in person, I might go back and buy more.

I got 15% off my order as a first time customer and free shipping.

Haha just as well I reported back so! I know they were cheap but they just looked really cheap and nasty. For runners I normally stick to Adidas but I fancied something different. Will stick to my usual I think :pac:

Kitri are apparently good quality and they are promoted a lot by different British style editors. I like their stuff but I don't overly wear patterns especially florals except maybe for weddings so I had no reason to buy anything from them in the last few years.

They've been on my radar for a while, so excited to see what arrives. I completely agree, not everything in their collection would be for me, some of the patterns are not to my taste and some of the silhouettes are a bit "war time" for my taste.

I did notice that they have some lovely bridal pieces though, if anyone decides on a civil wedding during these corona times.

I had a blip on Zara last night.... I'm a disaster, I think the boredom is really kicking in!

Thought these jeans were worth a punt...

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/zw-premium-slim-sky-black-jeans-p06840043.html?v1=35067149&v2=1446473

And this appeals to the same part of me that bought the cow print fur coat!

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/reflective-print-raincoat-p04391003.html?v1=38615667&v2=1445860

I was down at my local post office on Friday and I'd say 80% of people in the queue outside had parcels going back to either Zara or H&M, so I'm not the only one going mad online shopping.

I like the look of those Zara jeans. I've only ever bought tops in Zara, so I don't know what their jeans fit like. Tempted by those, but I am wary of buying jeans online as I always prefer to try on first. Might chance it. Not sure if I should go up a size though?

I probably wouldnt go up a size, I tend to buy a size 12 and they usually fit well, but jeans are obviously one of those items that are hard to give advice on as people are so diverse in what works well for one person could be another persons worst nightmare. I have a few pairs from Zara that work well for me, the only ones I couldnt get on with were their Mom jeans, but skinny/slim fit have tended to be good for me.

Anyway, Zara says returns are extended to 30 days from when their stores reopen and you can also return for free via the post office.

I used to be a guaranteed size 10, before I had a baby. He's nearly 4 and I haven't quite got back to a 10, unless they are quite stretchy. I tend to go for a 12 in a stiffer material. Plus I think the weight is creeping on during this lockdown as I never seem to get enough exercise in anymore, so I may just go for the 12 to be safe! lol
I have been looking for black jeans like that so I'll give them a go!

    Haha do it!

Its practical because you'd be very visible and fun because of the subtle animal print through it :) Win win for €20

I don't even cycle to work, but I figure a rain jacket is always useful in ireland.

My Vero Moda wide leg trousers arrived today. They are lovely, very light material. But I am glad I went for the size 12, cos I was almost going to do a 10! It definitely would not have fitted me. I went for the 30' leg, which I would be in jeans and its a tiny bit on the short side in these, but its fine. I tend to not buy jeans or trousers online as the fits are so different on me depending on the style, shop etc. Now to see how the Zara ones fit! I only ordered them yesterday and they were already dispatched! I need to stop buying clothes now, I've bought far too much recently!

I ordered these on the 11th and got them today! I cant believe how quick that was! I went with the 12 and thank God I did as they are snug! I was worried they wouldn’t fit but they are nice on. I had tried on a very similar pair in Penney’s before they closed and they weren’t much cheaper in price!

Well done, lucky you! I hope mine fit when they arrive -if you're on the border of a 10 then maybe mine wont fit because I'm a definite 12 bottoms and sometimes size up if an item runs small. I literally just got my dispatch notice now and obviously I ordered a day before you, so yours were very quick.

They'll definitely be better quality than Penneys. I havent bought clothes from Penneys in years because I always found I'd go off things from there really quickly, probably because they didnt hold up that well after washing so even thought stuff was cheap, its bad value if you can't get good wear out of an item.

I got one of the Zara bodysuits that every influencer seems to rave about https://www.zara.com/ie/en/halter-neck-bodysuit-p05039371.html?v1=42555555&v2=1235672

    5039371675_1_1_1.jpg?ts=1582192380593

The colour is fabulous, so gorgeous. I heard plenty of people say it's a great fit because it has built in support, as a bigger busted lady I was skeptical. The "support" is literally a tiny thin piece of fabric that sort of conceals your nips on a warm day :pac: It is a close fit so there's no shape issues, but I feel a little bit loose in it and there's a fair bit of sideboob. I may wear a little bandeau for extra support but overall I actually really like the figure it gives me. I bought it on a whim as I would have assumed something like that wouldn't suit me but the colour drew me in. Pleased I did now!

I was down at my local post office on Friday and I'd say 80% of people in the queue outside had parcels going back to either Zara or H&M, so I'm not the only one going mad online shopping.

So my Zara order arrived today and its all going back.

The jacket is really nice and good quality but unfortunately its beyond ridiculous in terms of size. I ordered L (my recommended size as per Zara) and I know it says oversized, but its so big I'd say I could fit myself into it twice over. I've faffed about wtih it to see if I could nip the waist with the elastics etc but its no use, it just looks comical.

Jeans are too small unfortunately. Theres no give in the fabric, its quite a stiff denim, and perhaps a bit of Corona weight on my part, but since I'm returning the jacket anyway, theres no point in keeping the jeans on the hope I might get into them.

Better luck next time I guess!

I ordered a few more bits last night and I'm hoping I do better.

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/oversize-cotton-shirt-p03510021.html?v1=34091903&v2=1445672

Love a long shirt and love white and love cotton - bought this as its down past the bum so will be nice with Spanx etc.

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/satin-skirt-p09479057.html?v1=41932375&v2=1513726

Love the colour and I find midis a great summer staple, especially with a crisp white T.

    https://www.zara.com/ie/en/long-dress-with-ruffles-p00962338.html?v1=51037014&v2=1445651

Love the colour and its cotton. I also think the neckline will work for me as I have a larger chest. Hopefully flattering without being indecent and also not so skimpy that I can't wear a good solid bra.

I have just ordered this bag from Everlane - it is big enough to fit my laptop. I've been looking for a bag that would fit my laptop, a notebook, kindle and my wallet, with a zip, and look professional. I think I've finally found it.
