    Hi All

Im wondering if anyone can advise me on a couple of things. I have always wanted to work in a Maternity hospital as a midwife assistant or just helping generally with mothers and their new babies etc. I have currently applied to do a Pre-Nursing course (which im not sure is the correct route). and i have also applied to do a course to complete the Maternity Care support module.

Does anyone know if you can apply for jobs after completing the Maternity Care Support Module or do i need to study more. Also, is it necessary for me to do the pre-nursing course if i just want to assist on Maternity wards.

Any feedback or suggestions would be really appreciated.
    Thanks a mil

Hi there, I know it's a long time ago but just wondering did you get anywhere with your maternity care inquiry. I coukd have written this myself and trying to find information about the right course, and how to eventually get into a maternity hospital in dublin working as, a maternity health care assistant. It's a dream I want to follow as a mature student in my 40's. Any advice or knowledge on what and how to achieve this would be soooo welcome. Thank you
