Friday was a particularly poor day weather wise. Frequent heavy squally showers with some hail and strong gusts. Afternoon brought an increase in shower activity up to about 7pm. Showers less frequent into the evening and are isolated now.
Lightning is currently visible in the direction of Clew Bay.

Em, it just snowed here? Met E report fir Cork Airport confirms - 0c and snow just now. Very wet and at end of rain shower but coating of v wet snow on my velux windows in attic right now!

Low overcast day for the most part here near Tralee apart from a few breaks in the afternoon , but even got lower towards evening with drizzle came in off the sea.

Not a bad temp getting up to 11.5C, currently 9.2C

Breezy all day and quite fresh along the shoreline.

Sunday was an overcast day. Light rain in the morning gave way to slowly improving conditions in the afternoon though it was quite dull and the odd intermittent passing low cloud gave some drizzle at times adding to the gloom. After 5pm, surfaces had dried up considerably and the evening was pleasant enough.

13.2C Max here near Tralee, I feel feel cheated

. Cloud was low and stubborn to clear, bit of patchy mist for a time . A few brighter slivers in the afternoon and cleared after dark.

Grand calm still day though, was on the coast and could hear sounds across the water from a good distance.
