I'd purchase but my current watch is one of those remote control ones and it's awesome!! Somebody needs to do a smart watch with this functionality.

I know what you're referring to....What was the name of that tv show from the eighties where they could freeze time with their watches? I feel so old!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,641 ✭✭✭bgrizzley

is there any truth to the rumour that you can control the space time continuum with this watch?

Been racking my head. I google it and the only answer that comes up is 'Out Of This World'. Don't recognise that.

Got the same :) I've never been hit for customs before so what should I expect to pay? What happens if no one is home to sign for the package? Cheers

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,726 ✭✭✭gerryk

Since it's DHL, they'll charge you directly, and won't have the €6 levy that An Post charges you for the privilege of having them collect tax. It's usually just VAT that's charged, so 23%, or whatever $11.27 works out at on the day (XE says €8.50 today)

They will either leave a collection attempted notice, or deliver the item and invoice you later.

There's no mention of the original $199 price on the invoice at the bottom of the Shipped email, so it's doubtful anyone will be stung with customs based on the non-discounted price. Not sure what customs could be on a $50 item, maybe 6 or 7 euro?

will this pair up and work out of the box or will I have to wait for a more noble steed to find some manner of rom that will make it work?

HTC one x and Nexus 4.

Ideally I'd like it to work on the Nexus, although I've read that it won't out of the box.
