Can't wait to see the race to the bottom with the cards. Even at €400ish they will be amazing value compared to the 2070 super.

Will those cards fit in an ITX case ?
Some of them seem ot the 2.5slot cards when you take the coolers into account
I'm tight enough for space with my XFX 480

ASRock Challenger should fit 2-slot, though you might be better off with a blower card + washer fix.

    £499
Needs to be a bit cheaper, but if the specs are correct, then it's going to be a flyer,

PowerColor said that AIB models should start at same price as Reference blowers, so I wouldn't take OCUK's prices at full face value just yet.

Minor disappointment: Timmy Joe couldn't get the Arctic Coolers to perform well, at all.

Alright feck it, I bought a RX 5700 XT reference.

Let's see what I can coax out of it.

    Got a good discount ;)
Gonna be doing washer or even Arctic Accelero mods myself anyway.

Fair. Interested to hear how you get on.

Was consider going 3700/57XT myself, but the GPU gains are still kinda meh...

Hah bloody OCUK pricks, they accidentally listed it low & now cancelled the order as it's now out-of-stock :pac:

I'm actually looking out for a vega 56. I'll put it on water and it'll do everything I need at 1440p. It'll save me about €200 as well. It's too close to 5700xt when tweeked to consider anything else really when cost is factored in.

    Imo.

RX 5700 XT is 20-30% faster than Vega 56, no amount of tweaking/overclocking can overcome that.

Which is no where near the cost excess of approximately +80% for the 5700xt for the difference of 80 vs 100 fps in games.

The 56 tweeked is great at €250ish for 1440p. The cost of the 5700xt or non is not justified imo.

Looks like it's between this & Sapphire Pulse for best models, so far.

Any sniff of a nano / itx / mini 5700?

Been holding off on a 2060 mini in hope of one.. the Vega 56 Nano was near on impossible to get a hold of.

The MSI models are the only "compact" ones so far, but only insofar as length - their width & height is larger than normal.
Considering other coolers are having trouble keeping the RX 5700 dies cool, I think the design of it is just not nano-able.

Which case are you looking to install into?

Cooler Master Elite 110. Not a a brilliant case by all means but it fits perfectly where I need it it to.

It can take a card up to 211mm in length by manufacturer spec, but actually fits close to 230mm if the power connector isnt on the end of the card. Height and width isn't a problem.

Those MSI models are coming in at 232mm so they might do the job. The case can be modded to allow another 10mm or so.

I'll wait and see sure.. 2060 might be the only option but I'm not biting at current price and 1660ti doesn't cut it for me. Best value at the moment is a used 1070 mini.
    Honestly I'd just change case.

If you switch to Nvidia, there's a Zotac & Inno3D model RTX 2060s going for ~350-370 but you'd be mad to pay that price.

The partner cards all run much lower than the reference cards and have no issues keeping temps under control. A card the size of the Zotac 1070 Mini would be no problem with a decent heatsink, fans and a few heat pipes.
