Alloy wheel respray

I want to respray my alloy wheels and just looking for some info and what spray to use. Does it have to be wheel spray as the colour I want is hard to get locally but is available as a standard spray. I'm thinking once enough clear coat goes on its doesn't matter what the spray underneath is. Maybe someone with some…

Any car paint will be fine. If they're not being baked expect the paint to be pretty soft for a good while.
