Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I am planning to drive to the Netherlands. Start in Ireland through the uk and onto the netherlands. And the opposite way returning a few days later. I am considering renting a van. Will it be allowed for me to drive the van out of Ireland? Will insurance cover it? Has anyone done similar recently?

You simply need to ring a few places and ask.
I assume you want to go there to collect things and bring back here?

Had this discussion, either here or on Reddit recently. It might be easier to get a vehicle in the UK, drive it back and go from there.

I would have thought the toll gates alone would be a major pain in the arse being on the wrong side.

If you don't mind a 30 hour ferry crossing you could bypass the UK and go direct.

Might make insurance, tariffs and customs easier.
