another tight one that will probably be decided by captains
15 up with jota aguero and single Jiminez score vs Leno Jonny Mendy sterling and Aubax2

Auba and sterling are huge threats obviously

Think I'm up to second despite jonnys valiant effort to defeat me !

Dropouts from higher leagues could save some.

Better win last few so second from bottom at the minute

It makes a change to be just mediocre midtable fodder.

Usually I'm performing heroics at this point in the season to avoid relegation.

Is it weird that I miss that little buzz? :pac:

I managed to sneak a 2 point win over the incredible pudding thanks to 6 bonus points for Kun and Laporte. Bottom 3 all won, two above them lost leaving 1 point between 4, squeaky bum time.

Pleasantly suprised not to be facing alisonwonderlands TC this week !
Same back 3 same front 3
I captained sterling he captained aguero. We both have both
    my hit could be decisive

Need Sterling to outscore aguero by 12 or I lose
Facing a TC next week as well.........

Facing a very tight and decisive six-pointer in the race for promotion (3rd vs 4th): his Sterling, Aguero & Rashford vs my Ryan, Hazard (c), Vardy + 2 points. Really need Hazard to be in the mood today!

    I'm under serious pressure now!

    A draw will secure promotion
Failing that I will need a win from Mr Prodston !

Looks like I am done and dusted relegated

My third loss in a row now means the best I can do is first reserve, feckin disaster

km79, take a hit, I would bench Brooks.
So Firmino out and a Wolves first sub having sold the other looks the play.

I'm bullish about the Hammers. Robertson news has a huge say for me too.
Assuming Wolves can score is not beyond belief (as long as the Pool get more) so a non TAA for Doh…

    Arnie or Antoniio?

Sure you'll be the Top Man cluing us in tomo anyway.

    GL.

    Arnie

Brooks is also injured so he will be benched or sold depending on what I do
    Thanks

Very similar teams and TC aguero against my C aguero
    Can’t see me winning

Luckily I can rely on Mr P to be sensible and win his game
    Townsend captain LOL

Jumping to 2nd place on points difference I think. A tremendously competitive leave. Well done all!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,671 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

How are ties resolved, is it overall points?

If so I finish 5th, hopefully two feckers from the championship decide they don't fancy it next year :D

Don’t think it makes a difference if anyone drops out
Bottom 3 go down no matter
If spaces are not filled extra teams are promoted

At least that’s my understanding and I hope it is as I finished 4th :(

Soundly beaten this week but managed to hold onto one of the automatic promotion spots ... got to be pleased with a 3rd promotion in 4 years!

    Ugh.....thought i was safe.

Defeat on the last day drags me back to the relegation spots with a tie for 4th last and I'm out on points difference.

    I'll be back baby.

Congrats to Tony_Montana on winning League One this season and to manual_man and MrSkinny on their promotions.

Things to note for next season:

    1) If anyone doesn't have an interest in carrying on in this next year, can you please let me know now as it will make it easier for me to pass the spots down now rather than having lots of spots to fill up after the deadline.

    2) If anyone knows of any potential to bring sponsorship prize money in, that would be great. The leagues were definitely at their most exciting when people had a cash prize to go with the status symbol. The prize breakdown would have to go from the top down however, regardless of who brings in the sponsorship. It wouldn't make sense to have a €100 prize for League 2, and nothing for the Premier League.

The 20 teams who've qualified for League One next season are as follows:

    ItsChecoTime
    InishGael
    Easy Rod
    km79
    ScummyMan
    deadlineday
    Christy Browne
    Mr.Prodston
    Ginger Ninja
    Neoulous
    MonkstownHoop
    remoteboy
    ElTel
    the incredible pudding
    patmac
    stephenl15
    The Neon Knight
    klopparama
    GetWithIt
    Morzadec

Congrats to the 3 who've been promoted up. The next in line to go up if spaces arise are: wrestlemaniac, $hifty, Rodgeb, kilburn, Karma25 and Copper_Pipe.
