Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I am wondering if anyone knows of a tattoo place that uses creams or sprays to numb area before tattoo.

    You can just buy the relevant cream in Boots. I don't know the name of the brand I'm afraid, but it's just over the counter stuff.

    You apply it and wrap the area for 3 hours in advance of the tattoo. I think the purpose of the cream is numbering an area of skin before a medical scan like an arthrogram.

    A friend of mine bought it over the counter in boots somewhere in Dublin very recently, so you should have no problem just buying it yourself.

    Have'nt had a tattoo done in about 15 years got one last week, it seems they use new machines now more like a large pen compaired to the one's we know as tattoo machines she said they are more reliable , it was'nt as sore getting done either,and does'nt seem to be 'Scabbing as much.

    The newer rotaries don't seem to have the same punch as the old school machines and as such don't seem to cause as much trauma to the skin. Huge arguments going on in artists forums as to whether theyre better or not.
