    Brief outline of the rules;
    Points for strikes.
    Points for throws.
    3 second clinch only.
    Points for getting opponent outside the area.

    Bonus point: There was a martial artist at the same olympics who gave the nazi salute on the winners pdoum despite being half jewish, what discipline was that in?

    Dunno if this fella Karoly gave the salute but i was thinking of a german female fencer, can't remember her name. She gave the salute to protect her family apparently

    No cant say Ive read too many books on judo, only the few that I got off a friend of my parents and ones that I picked up abroad. Something I would like to do though.

    Was it a good read?

    I don't want to derail the thread, but yes its a fantastic read for a Judoka. If your not a Judoka and want to read a Judo book then I highly recommend 'The Pyjama Game'.
