    Where is the best place to look for work in the construction industry for Canada, i was thinking around Saskatoon. Trying to get a job offer but not to sure where to start, i have applied for a few jobs through fas.ie and irishjobs.ie. I'm a carpenter and 34yrs btw.

    I think there was a separate thread elsewhere on fort macmurray but i cant find it.

    I got an email from an irish group in toronto with a job posting for all sorts of work (carpenter included) in Fort mcmurray, with interviews taking place in Dublin. It's through USIT so i dont know what cut they are taking from it or if theres a fee involved.

    The post you responded to was seven years old and it's definitely inaccurate to state that there's loads of trade work in Canada. The energy sector has been absolutely destroyed so the chances of being hired as a temporary foreign worker on a visa are almost non-existent.
