Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    cj maxx 40

    The positions remaining unrevealed in this round are 2nd, 4th & 5th. On that basis unfortunately for CJ Maxx they cannot catch the leading pair

    In 2nd place in this round is cj maxx with Pearl Jam - Alive



    Not top of my list of Pearl Jam songs but I do love anything off Ten and this is no exception. A brilliant tune, not quite up there with Black but still a cracking song nonetheless

    In 5th place it's Also Starring LeVar Burton with Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become

    I knew this tune as I'd be a fan of Three Days Grace's biggest hits - I prefer "I Hate Everything About You" but this is still a cracking track

    In 4th place it's y0ssar1an22 with 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite

    Love 3 Doors Down and this is one of their best songs so was happy to see it nominated - Debated whether it would scrape into the top 3 but I think 4th is where it belongs

    That means we have a tie!

    I did all the write ups before knowing who nominated what so this wasn't an intentional result on my part!

    If we need to crown a winner in such things (I'm not saying we do or don't) then on count back I'd have to give it Also Starring LeVar Burton as they won the acoustic round with Badflower - Ghost.

    Happy to call it a draw either.

    Greenspurs was unlucky that I didn't like their acoustic version more as with two round wins they would have been right up there!

    Thanks to everyone for their nominations. I really enjoyed running it and I'm looking forward to my SURLAW in a few weeks after Necro's.

    I'm happy to share the win with yoss, as they put forward some top songs. Kryptonite was genuinely my backup song for this last round.

    3rd Walrus win in a row for me either way, so I'm happy.

    Yeah, I prefer it to the original too. Halocene, Violet Orlandi, Lauren Babic, and a few others do some fantastic covers.
