Claiming back stamp duty on mortgage?

I am a bit clueless on how to claim back stamp duty on mortgage. Could someone please advise me? Thanks.

Stamp duty and mortgage are unrelated.

Why do you think you can claim stamp duty back?

That has nothing to do with a mortgage per se; it relates to a person who has bought land subject to a commercial rate of stamp duty but who develops it for residential property to which a lower rate applies. Nothing in the OP would make me think this applies.

The OP is mixing things up but seems to have paid stamp duty at 6% on the transfer of a site and is now building a house.

OP read the above link from revenue and if that doesn't answer your questions ask your solicitor.
