By the way, it seems like when you use the coupon, the price goes back to original price. But I think that always happens when you're using a coupon on something already on sale.

Yeah, the one Dunnes sell is the older version, It doesnt have the sliding plastic but a piece of plastic that pops off instead.

The more common name for these is VR BOX, the rest are just rebranded.

Funny you mentioned Dunnes Stores Ballyvolane, that's my local Dunnes too. ;)

These work really well, well worth 15 euro. Even at 30 euro it'll provide endless hours of entertainment for kids. And a little more affordable than the Occulus Rift at €700 :)

i have a rebranded version of this. It doensnt have the magnet to make it 100% Cardboard compatible so if you are trying to use apps that need the magnet you will need to get a bluetooth controller or just hold a magent in your hands and find the sweet spot for your phone. Weak magnets wont work.
looks to be the same with the newer model too.

Got mine today as well, it's pretty excellent quality for a cheap headset. Only annoyance is that I had to use a pincers to take out part of the clamp, otherwise no matter what I did it was either pressing the power or sound up/down buttons.

Great fun though and works well, very well made and feels sturdy. Used the cinema app, which does a good job of tricking your brain into thinking you're watching a 50" TV when you're lying in bed. :)

Cool! By the way, do you have a screen protector on your smartphone? Because I think it may make the display look worse in the headset, or is that just me?
I'm saying this because I'd like to take off the screen protector from my 2nd smartphone and use it with this headset most of the time. Maybe it's a bad idea, though. :D
