So quick question in the 1960s and 1970s on either TV or Radio would there ever be a time when just 2 people were alone working on a live or pre-recorded piece to air?

Or was it just a fanciful story for the sake of a good story? being cryptic on the last question as not to allow this become after hours :)

Radio - yes; it would have been plausible for someone on-air and someone else doing production/engineering. Single manning was probably even possible in reliability terms by the late 70s

TV - probably not, kit too complicated and unreliable at the time

Union rules may have ensured this never happened though!
