My thanks to Myksyk for his efforts in running this thread and to all who voted for this photo. Also congrats to the Hm's.
This photo was taken on the canal adjacent to the river Boyne. The background field was in partial flood. Normally the blackbirds see me before I see them on my walk and fly off. This bird stayed on the wooden fence pole and I took the shot. Processed in Lightroom and Affinity Photo.
Settings as follows: 1/500 f8 ISO 180 420mm in good light.
