Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Which OBS encoder should I use?

    I have a Dell Latitude 7280 with an Intel Core i7 6600U 2.60GHz & an Intel HD Graphics 520 with DDR4 16Gb RAM & a Samsung SSD PM981 NVMe M.2 512Gb.

    Which encoder should I chose?

    quicksync. it's accelerated by the igpu. x264 would be done fully on your cpu

    Thank you. Also, do my OBS settings look ok or can they be optimised?

    they look ok. If you have fast movement like an fps shooter you may want to go to 1 second keyframe interval, if it's screen recordings for teaching materials or something with not a lot of scene changes your current settings should be fine

    do a trial record and see how it is after you deliver it wherever it's going to end up, youtube etc. and then fine tune from there
