Bit random but does anybody know or can recommend where you can get a carvery style lunch / pub grub in Monkstown or Dun Laoghaire area?

Being a culchie here it would be nice to get a bit of bacon and cabbage from time to time and less falafel dipped in elderflower water for €25 :D

The one in the Noggin Inn is actually deadly. Had the three of us fed for 36 euro Sunday before last week.

Most places in Monkstown would tend towards the falafel in elderflower. But Goggins look like they do regular food, they have a menu posted on Facebook but their last dated post on FB was 2014 so the menu you see could be very old.....

Cafe du Journal in Monkstown does regular food, they usually have a decent lasagne and chips on the specials menu. Avoid the cottage pie, it's very watery.

Another place to try would be the Graduate, haven't been there for a while but it was regular pub grub last time.

    I'll second the Graduate.

    They do an excellent carvery.

The Grange is also a strong contender nearby.

The Lep Inn does a really nice carvery.
The wishing well on NTPA does a very traditional one too.

Maybe a bit further afield and I only had it a couple of times but the Millhouse in Kilmacud is very good. Agree with The Grange also.

The Club in Dalkey is very good too
