    The price of insurance for 18-22 year olds has really dropped a lot since I was in that age gap which wasn't that long ago. The OP paid half of what I paid for a 1 litre corsa when I was his age. I think I was 22 before my insurance dropped below the 1k mark for a 1.4 corolla.

    your price does seem abit high alright, try McCarthys Insurance group.
    I think they have their own website as well..
