Thats about it. Theres very little amenities for the population growth its seen and its still expanding. This leads to lots of bored teenagers roaming about with nothing to do. You can guess the rest. Although that may be an Irish problem in general.

Balbriggan is the youngest town in a Ireland in regards to age and growth. Fingal County Council has just put large funding put in to refurbish the harbour, park and the surrounding area. Plenty of money being put into it after many years of no investment but it getting there. They are linking skerries up with a coastal path road.
There are 3 beaches, plenty of playgrounds. Short drive to Ardgillan demesne.

My experience Balbriggan is good town to live in. Never had any problems or concerns. 45minutes into the City and the same with Newry. On the M1 so easy to get to m50. Good bus service to Swords and City.

Houses built on the sea side on the Harry Reynolds road are well built.

There was a pyrite issue with houses built after 2008 the same with skerries Rush and Lusk but many have been remediated.

Large shopping centre, anchor store Tesco, have Dunnes, Supervalu and Lidl in the town.

Schools have good results and have won many awards. From languages, science and arts. Many are on the league table. New secondary schools were built and there is a plan(there a while) to build a third level school.

Plenty of clubs to keep kids busy. From sports, music, arts, boxing, yoga, kids clubs. There are a few gyms as well. Cricket, rugby and other sports.

Taylor Hill estate phase 1 are nice houses but check if there are management fees as with some of the estates. A large portion of the Estate was built by Irish Reits. They also bought in Donabate as well. The builder sold a large number to build a hotel in the city Centre.

Do not dismiss without looking and seeing the place first. There are many here on the site living in Balbriggan that will give you their opinion.
