Seems to be on the rise, or else it’s just media reporting on it more often. Check Dublinlive for an example, each day there are stories of roaming gangs running amok in Dublin.

So what’s the solution ? Is it time the state intervened and perhaps made young teens do a years military service or volunteer work etc, or have we gone so soft that we should just leave them alone in case we upset them ?

Start with allowing people to notice patterns about the racial makeup of such groups. But don't count on the media to do that, they are as complicit as the government in trying to silence any pattern noticing.

Bring back non-life threatening beatings by the police.

Simply fine their parents every time until they have only enough money to sustain a diet of bread and water.

This isn’t a news/media discussion. Moved to AH.

Don't look at Dublinlive for starters.
Also we wont deal with it, it has always been like this in Ireland regarding anti-social behaviour. Nothing is done, something really unspeakably bad happens from time to time, everyone is appalled, and then life goes on.

Ring up Rentokill, ask how they deal with vermin. Implement those procedures.

First they came for the socialists...

Yeah those groups of mainly white teenagers are a scourge to be fair. At least they integrate their new Irish friends in though. Would be worse if they were racist.

    Build more prisons

Don’t have scrotes with 50 convictions roaming the streets

Stop the bleeding heart / let’s help these poor unfortunates approach and get tough on crime and anti social behaviour

If they have no fear or respect for the guards or the law do you honestly think they will have any respect for the rest of us ?

I'm guessing a very small minority. So their parents get fined, and if needs be, fines are deducted by Revenue.ie.

    Problem is now 100% solved.

    You're Welcome.

Crime would go through the roof. The doll is money we pay to keep them out of our lives for the most part and semi sedated on Dutch Gold and Johnny Blues.

The money the state saves in not paying scratcher, and any fines received goes towards increased policing, and building more prisons...

no better way to keep them out of your life by them being locked up!

There's no facilities, build more facilities and that will fix everything.

First offense your parents receive a fine that has to be paid and if it’s not paid in X Amount of time you’ll be sent you youth detention.
Social workers will become involved to check on your home setting and what maybe causing you issues.
Second offense larger fine and some type of community work and if not paid you’ll be sent to youth detention.
Third offense Youth Detention Center. No piercing, basic haircut, no designer clothes.
Good food provided, general life lessons.
You’ll attend class which will prepare you for your Junior Cert or Leaving Cert.(They maybe more of a focus on vocational subjects).
You’d have your uniform and very basic casual clothes.
Visits with family once every two weeks.
If you make good progress you’ll be allowed weekend visits home, clothes, more privileges and maybe even back home full time if you appear to have changed.

If there was the money their of course!

You'd be surprised. Most of the absolute scumbags where I grew up had at least one parent working, even in places like Darndale most people there are working. I mean they're not doctors and solicitors but they're doing something. I think this idea that all scumbags have waster dole parents isn't true at all.

Absolutely true, and in a lot of cases the biggest scumbag s are from affluent backgrounds, I knew doctors, teachers and Company managers owners sons in secondary school and they were right delinquents and the teachers let them off with a lot of things.
And the guards would drop them home pissed to their parents houses and be apologetic to the parents rather than sugget there's bad parenting going on..

The working class parents would ground their kids, while the middle class parents would ground the school teachers or guards if they could...

It's was pure parochial shlt, Kevin could have burnt down half a forest but, how dare the guards suggest he did it, and the smell campfire and melted LA gear runners on the pr1ck and his white guns n 'roses t-shirt smokey white :D

So then the fines are deducted by revenue from the working parents wages.

    and/or Children's Allowance is cut/stopped.
