Mafia III (DLC) Sign of the Times

I played the base game on release about 3 or 4 years ago and was going through steam and realised I had bought the season pass. So said I better play them. It was an ok DLC but you can carry very little ammo on you which is annoying and the guys your up against are mad for throwing petrol bombs which is annoying when you are in cover as they hit you if you do not move out of the way. And your charactor can die pretty easy if your not in cover.

Another thing about this DLC is I'm broke now as at the end of it you have to
    redo the pub
of your uncle which burns down at the start of the main game.

And you get two extras missions after
    renovating the pub
. Overall it was and ok DLC.

Good DLC opened up a new country area with
racist red neck cops. You do most of the DLC in a car driving through things.
I thought it was pretty good.

The only battle with Ivan Ooze you get in this one is when he's in his robot form at the end. Did you play it on SNES? Because that one is miles different from the MD version. Since you said "broken" I'm assuming you mean cheap difficulty? Because if you are, I can only assume you're talking about the SNES version, which is apparently known for being way more difficult than it should've been.

The Mega Drive one is stupid easy.

Apparently I'm mixing it up with Ivan Ooze from MMPR: The Fighting Edition which apparently managed to out-SNK anything SNK themselves did until Magaki.

    Mafia III (DLC) Stones Unturned

I thought I was back playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Majority of this DLC is on a
tropical Caribbean island like RDR 2.
It was the hardest DLC of the 3 as I was low on ammo pretty often as you cannot carry very much and always run low at the worst of times and your
up against an army with heavy machine guns on the back of trucks.
It was a good DLC overall.

There's a lot of games that I never got to play on the PS3 so it's great to have the option to play some of them using PS Now. I just finished Infamous. I enjoyed it a lot, the powers are fun, decent graphics for the time and the right amount of things to do in the open world. I suppose one criticism of the game is that the moral decisions are so black and white that you need to pick to be good or Evil and stick with it for the entire game.

I've started Infamous 2 and I can already see improvements on the original, better graphics, voice acting, cut scenes etc. Looking forward to playing through it.

First PC game finished for 2020:

    PC

Dark Souls III: Very enjoyable as expected; took my time with the playthrough (approx 50 hours) as I know I won't play it again due to backlog. Was a wuss and summoned Sunbro help for most bosses :D

    PS4

Doom: The 2016 game; just loved it! Manic mayhem throughout.
Firewatch: It was ok but a bit of a letdown after all the rave reviews TBH :(

    Nintendo Switch

Ori and the Blind Forest: Really enjoyed it, fairly short so didn't get stale at all. Loved the Metroidvania elements.

    Uncharted Lost Legacy

I don't know why I didn't play this sooner, I tend never to bother with DLC and I think I'd written this off for that reason, but it was actually a fantastic game. Been a while since I've played anything by ND, and the animations, dynamicism of environments and graphic still feel like a generational leap over almost anything else out there. On top of that it's a well written story with great, likeable characters, and they have the pacing down just perfectly so you never get bored.

Wish I could dive into TLOU2 next but I just don't have the temperament for horror games, jump scares and the like. I got a couple of hours into the original and was way too stressed out constantly so I just gave up on it.

I finished Infamous 2 and the standalone DLC Festival of Blood over the weekend. I enjoyed both of them, definitely an improvement on the original with better cut scenes/voice acting and graphics etc. I played using good karma only, I've no desire to replay the game as evil.

I'm going to play Infamous Second Son next but I've heard it's quite different to the original two so I'm slightly worried it won't be as good.

got the control DLC downloaded so might go to that next or maybe outer wilds, I have heard great things.

Batman Arkham Knight[PS4] - a very good game although a few too many BS areas especially involving the batmobile. The biggest plus for me was Mark Hamill as the joker. He was genuinely hilarious at times. [edit]

BioShock [PS4]- what an absolute masterpiece of a game. Enjoyed this so much. A definite must play if you like FPS/Horror.

BioShock 2 [PS4] - another fantastic game in the series, as enjoyable as the first with a few loose ends tied up.

Ratchet and Clank [PS4] - an excellent remake of an all time classic.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture [PS4] - an interesting storyline but effectively a slow walking sim.

Journey [PS4] - such a beautiful game, especially when you meet a companion en route. Very relaxing.

The Last of Us Part II [PS4] - Loved it, but perhaps not as much as the first. The one criticism that I'd have is that it seemed overly long with some unnecessary padding. Damn this is a tense game by the way.

Infamous: Second Son, the next game in the Infamous series, is the latest I just finished and I must admit that I definitely preferred the PS3 era games in the series. Maybe I'm burnt out but I found the open world collectables in this game to be a bit of a chore compared to previous entries. The addition of new powers is fun although there isn't a massive difference between the them. The story is decent, as is the voice acting, but it just wasn't as much fun. It also had an extremely annoying menu system, particularly the map, which required an extra button press to open.

I'll finish Infamous: First Light next only because it's not a full game.

    Halo 3

I really enjoyed this one. It's the shortest of the original trilogy but also the most consistent. I actually thought there was huge amounts of this game I didn't remember but no, I just thought it was longer. All of the levels leading up to the end are all mostly excellent, in fact I'd say they are all excellent other than the second stage which is merely great. The Brutes are a lot more fun to fight and you don't really miss the Elites.

However.... those flood sections at the end of the game are utter ****e. The developers realised the flood were garbage so left them out mostly for this game but unfortunately had to bring them back to 'finish the fight'. Really, the flood should never have been brought back for Halo 2 and they poison the end of this game.

Had a lot of fun replaying this.

    Vermintide 2

Well not complete but finished the main campaign. This is a fantastic melee focused left 4 dead clone and great fun to play with mates. The addition of the Chaos faction adds some nice variety to the enemies so not as many rat men. If you want a good 4 player left 4 dead clone then this is probably the best you can get at the moment. DLC was a lot of fun as well even if the last one is a bit anemic due to it only having one new stage and a new game mode that's a bit dead.
