Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Tower's Overlooking Waterford

    There's a couple of stone towers built on highground across the river from Waterford City (Here & Here ). A couple of Photos of the first one shown below. They're belived to have been built by the Pope family who ran a fleet of ships from the harbour in the 1800s.. Both towers are clearly marked on the early ordinance survey maps, so where constructed at some point prior to 1840.. The one pictured appears to have been renovated at later point in it's life, with a brick scar running up it's length where it had been seemingly retrofitted with a chimney.. Is there anything comparable elsewhere in the country? When is a likely build date? (More photos here)
