Judging by the performance of the PlayStation Classic, it's comforting to know @tGames found new employment following years of making pitiful Sega clones.

PCSX-Rearmed is pretty good for low powered devices. Had a version of it years ago on an old GP2X Caanoo and it played 2D games great despite having an ancient arm processor in it.

It's weird, seems like it would be something really popular but I never hear any mention of it in the same way I do everdrives etc.

Edit - ah, you need to perform a mod on your PS1 mainboard for it to work, that would explain it.
Was just about to post this video, apparently you can send your PS1 PCB to the guys to have the mod done, not sure if it's just in Australia though.

Unfortunately it's a case of manufactures being like water, taking the laziest / easiest path.

I'm a bit surprised at Sony though given their emulation on the Vita devices is so solid.

I was keeping a close eye on the PSIO project from the begining, the initial price was to be $50 which I'd have handed over all day long... But that soon turned into $150 for the final release! ...not a chance.

Good thing about this using the PSX emulator is that should be easy to getting it working with Dual Shock controllers. Actually looking forward to it now to rip apart
