Morga as well for me in Galway. Well handicapped, some nice prep races, the 40/1 was ridiculous, Galway always a target for this owner. Worth taking a chance on.

I've done the Grand National and Cheltenham bets for the missus when requested (usually based on a horses name or some other nonsense).

Her : "Did my horse win?"
    Me : "no, afraid not"
Her : "really? why, what happened"
    Me : ".......eh......???"

Kameko, easy game, buildmeup.. (Thur) . Singles and treble for me.
surprised at kameko price - very fair, unless he's lost a leg!

Circus Maximus at 7.8 for me.
He has won three Group 1s and was second in this last year.
I think he will figure. His few failures were at a mile as a 2yo, and at 10f and 12f.

Me too without a whole lot of confidence due to the depth of the 3yo challenge. , but he has the class to battle while many of the others are overestimated. Mohaater's last win looks overrated to me, Siskin has to improve 5lbs but has an X factor.

Love Wichita and Kameko. Vatican City could do the same this year as Circus Maximus did last year, but this is too hot of a race to expect him to get to the winners spot today.

    Galvin NR

Thanks Rodger. Took a nibble on Peregrine Run E/W before PP catches up and marks Galvin NR and the price crashes!

O'Callaghan must be very sweet on Steel Bull, sending him over and backing him off the boards.

Galvin a NR, you heard it here first.

Good horse, won it with a lot in hand.

Thought it was a great race! Some turn of foot by Sisken but even better by Mohaather in the last furlong. Have to wonder if both had the space to run free how'd they'd do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,702 ✭✭✭tryfix

A smashing race, great winner, timed to perfection, you don't want to get in front of Circus Maximus too soon. Great speed shown by the first and third.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Vatican City injured :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,092 ✭✭✭The Tetrarch

The ground might be a bit slower than given. The time wasn't great.
    Siskin might need it good/firm.
The winner showed a lot of pace to come from the back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Not often you see Murphy cock up in a big race. Kameko got no run at all

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

Did the start stifle Siskin? Still not sure the best horse won tbh

The ITV team seem to be claiming that Kameko was unlucky not to get in a position to challenge the winner. In the last furlong he had plenty of time to accelerate between Siskin and Circus Maximus. He went for it and wasn't closing very quickly at all when he stopped driving on him.
