Worst: probably failing the leaving cert

Best: the entire year of 2013. Extremely manic, thought I could do anything.

Worst was touching a shiny silver screw inside an open lampost on my street aged 8.

Best is still happening, watching/listening to my near teenage kids knowing I've done a good job in raising them.

Your brain undergoes damage while you're manic. Thinking an episode of severe mania was the best thing that ever happened to you shows an alarming lack of insight.

Someone said something obscene to me one day..altered the course of events of my, and probably others' lives..It's weird, he's the one person I can't forgive..

Ah, I'd rather not say, and tbh, it probably wasn't their intention, but considering who was there, it was yeah, just obscene, and just kind of altered lots of things, and decisions after..

It's weird..It was definitely a turning point though..

Losing the last of my family after contracting a ,misdiagnosed, misunderstood incurable illness ..

Contracting a major ,incurable, illness misdiagnosed until recently as it has taught me far more about life, about endurance., living with and overcoming pain, about fellow humans than anything else ever could.

It is in darkness that we learn to see and value light

I don't want to presuppose another poster, but I'd hazard a guess that being diagnosed after years of second guessing oneself as to mental capacity or illness?
That having a diagnosis can put a whole new, and quite comforting slant on ones interactions?

Best having my children and my grandchildren. My grandchildren make bad days wonderful.

Worst: Falling out with a girl as a teen who accused me of stalking her. Gave me extreme anxiety of running into her/her friends that I still have 10 years later.

Best: My parents. They raised me well, and I'm going to have an extremely easy life due to them.
