What part? I was in the city and it was pretty horrendous!

Fairly modest hourly totals at the university but could be higher in the east side of the city:

Lots of lowering and twisting scud here at the moment. Front must be passing over.

    gas,nothing.west Mayo

Met Eireann progging that it would be atlantic coastal counties most prone to thundery showers.

you'd go bald in this country tearing you hair out to hear a clap of thunder. Its either all out at sea or fires up on exiting the country.

very dissapointing given their forecast last night made all the more frustrating with the lack of proper radar returns.

set alight across the water with storms.

    gas.

In West Donegal for the weekend, nice enough morning but some good old fashioned bank holiday weather all afternoon, a real washout. Had a few too many last night so thankfully had no plans for the day!

Radar shows sferics nearby as well but can't say I heard anything

Seems to be a strike off the coast of Arklow too,I was out in a downpour at the time about 10 mins ago but didn't hear anything, it seems to coincide with the dark cloud I saw to my south at the time
    It got very gusty

Sitting in the garden now in West cork. Pure blue sky and wind has died down a lot. Lovely evening after a rotten afternoon. Had a BBQ and all.
