Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Just wondering has anyone ever experienced a situation similar to mine or know of anyone who has. I was classed as dependent mature student with susi for the past two years as I lived at my family home. I have just got a place of my own to rent with my child. I informed susi of my change of address to be told I don’t qualify for the maintenance grant as my parents income is over the threshold even though I will no longer be living with them and I get my own social welfare payment, (which is completely disregarded in their assessment) my parents income has not had anything to do with me in years. They told me I can’t redefine my student class to independent unless I take a three break in studies which is ridiculous when I am due to finish in less time!

Can anyone offer some perspective on this please?
