Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

New Jazz/Classical Feature Radio Series

    Dear Jazz Lovers,

    Just wanted to give notice of a new feature radio series just started on Near FM.

    'The Hugh Lane Concert series showcases contemporary, traditional, classical and jazz music concerts recorded at Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, as part of the Sundays @ Noon concerts.

    The series captures the best in Irish and international based composers and musicians performing in front of a live audience.

    As well as the performances, Near FM have recorded in-depth interviews with the musicians, and reactions from members of the public.

    Programme one features renowned jazz music duo Lars Jansson and Ronan Guilfoyle. They have been performing together for many years and in this programme they are collaborating on Lars own compositions. This programme is now available to stream online.

    Upcoming radio programmes include Izumi Kimura and Barry Guy on Tuesday April 4th at 3pm on Near FM. And Ian Wilson on Tuesday April 18th at 3pm on Near FM.
