Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

PI/RI appearing in Latest Posts on touch

    Same issue I've just noticed with Personal Issues and Relationship Issues. Logged in on phone and it's grand. Sat down at laptop and looked for the same thread I'd been reading and it's not visible in Latest Posts with it set to "All Topics".

    PI and RI are pretty major forums so I think their behaviour should be consistent across site versions, be it hidden from Latest Activity or displayed.


    (This thread still only displays in Latest on my phone)

    Due to the nature of the topics being discussed, PI and RI have always been hidden from appearing on the front page for regular users. Similarly, it's not indexed in the site search for the same reason.

    Right, but I'm a regular user and am not subscribed to either forum and the threads show on touch.

    That's not the desired behaviour by the sounds of it. The main desktop site doesn't show them.

    I would agree. I imagine it's functionality in the main site that didn't get migrated over to the touch site, or has stopped working somehow. Thank you for letting us know.

    Splitting this across to its own dedicated thread in Site Development. Thanks for highlighting this. As mike_ie says, it's likely that this functionality wasn't in-built into the touch site when that was being developed.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
