    Good afternoon folks :)

The team here have been working away on the responsive site and are very nearly ready with a brand new "Thread View" for it. This will be quite different to the thread view on the current responsive site and hopefully will be the first step towards building a responsive site that a lot more people find useful and are happy to use. It's probably good to note here that this new Thread View won't have any affect on the functionality or existence of the legacy site.

Before we unleash the new Thread View to the wider Boards audience, we're looking for some volunteers to test it out for a while and give us their feedback.

We'd like a variety of users from across the spectrum so whether you already use the responsive site or have stuck with legacy or touch.boards.ie doesn't matter; we're interested in everyone's point of view. This includes registered users, mods, cmods and admins. We are looking for people who use the site relatively often and would be open to taking a short quiz and/or offering a few thoughts on what they've experienced afterwards.

We plan to enable the new Thread View for the first group of testers before the end of April. You'll have access to a private forum where you can give your feedback; this will be viewable by the other testers and ourselves only.

We expect that any changes we've made to Thread View and your feedback on it will remain confidential until we launch the new view. Your feedback will be used to tweak and make changes where feasible before launching it to everyone. If there are changes made, we may choose a second group to test out the second iteration of the Thread View with new changes and see if anything else needs to be improved upon and so on.

It shouldn't take up too much of your time outside of your usual browsing/posting aside from writing your actual feedback. You will need to use the responsive site while testing, however you will be able to switch back to legacy or indeed the current responsive site at any time if you want to.

If you are interested in helping out, please post below and include whether you usually use legacy, touch or responsive; computer, mobile or tablet or a mixture. If you're not sure, just give whatever detail you can.

Posts are pre-moderated in this forum so you won't see your post appear below but we can read it all here.

    Thanks everyone!

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far! We've over 50 volunteers now and we still have room for a few more if anyone wants to add their name to the list.
It is looking likely that we won't be ready to share the new Thread View with you until May now. A few bugs that really need to be fixed before anyone sees it are being worked on at the moment so once they are rectified we'll be ready for you.

    Thank you!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
