Ha ha, indeed it is! Judging by the numbness in my fingers as I tried to take the photo it was pretty accurate too!

One of the main things I miss from living down there is a spin over the Vee and home over by kilworth

If you are not afraid of bad roads you'll enjoy this

Nice place for a similar view to Vee; there won't be many cars :D

Would have cycled all of it bar the bit over by clonmel.

Lived on the that route over by mitchelstown for 5 years.
Moved to meath last year. The roads are mainly flatter and busier

Really I never meet anyone on the roads like below. Shanrahan, the Vee, Red Hill, Clogheen -Mitchelstown, Araglin Fermoy roads you'll see plenty cyclists but on the rest of it I never see any.

15km to 42km in a really obvious and easy route from Ardfinnan to Mitchelstown but typically only local traffic use it.

On the day I rode that full route(a Sunday morning) I only met cyclist on regional road near Mitchelstown and descending on southern side of Shanrahan

Catching sunset on the way back down from the Sally Gap last night. Times like these there's nowhere I'd rather be.

Walking into the ruins often surprises folks as there are plenty of nesting pigeons in there making cooing noises which echo nicely in the dark :)

Sitting have a can of coke beside Eindhoven airport. Not a single plane has take off in the 10 minutes I've been here. It's eerie.

A straight line on Strava normally means that your Garmin/Wahoo/phone has paused and not restarted until you got to the other end of the straight bit. If you did a full circuit of Howth, it missed most of it. If you move the cursor along the profile of the ride, you will see the time gap of the unrecorded bit but not the distance. Your actual ride was probably a fair bit longer.

Were you around Malahide a few days back, I saw a similar recumbent driving from Portmarnock back to Swords on Sat around midday?

No, wasn’t me. I only know of one other fella with a similar tadpole recumbent in that area, so could have been him. I think he’s a member here too

Dublin from the viewpoint and Glencree from the top of the valley, both before or around 6am this morning.
Nothing but silence, apart from the odd deer running away.
