Hi guys I’m thinking about putting in cctv around the house, that part is easy enough, but I have a yard next door about 150m away. I have clear line of sight to the yard. I have power in both places but no comms cables or ducts. I have seen aerials facing each other to extend reach. Can anyone advise me what I might need to do this? Thanks in advance

You are referring to a point to point wireless network bridge. Needs line of sight. Presume you have wireless IP cameras planned for the yard, so you’ll need a router down the yard as well. Probably could do a home set up for about €200.

Alternative could be...if you have the yard powered from the house, you could maybe use a powerline network adaptor. Runs through the electrical cable. Might be a bit far but could be worth a test to see.

Power line won’t work as it’s not powered by the house. Can you link me to any of the gear I would need ? That wouldn’t awesome

Id go for this bridge if I was buying one. Good enough price for what it is. You could buy cheaper spurious brands if you wanted.
