    hi,

I recently ordered a tello boost combo for my nephew directly from dji.

The package was taking ages to leave their warehouse and I managed to get one locally instead.

When I asked to cancel the order they advised me to refuse the delievry and it would be returned to their warehouse
I was a little nervous that it could go missing on its return and the courier recommended sending it myself, he reckoned it would be safer. (I know this might have been because its more hassle than anything for him to take it back)

However my problem now is I cant find anyone to ship it because of the batteries.
An Post is a definite no, a few others are the same story.
I called dhl because they delivered the package and they said they can ship batteries but when they asked me what the contents were and I said a drone they said they are not permitted to ship drones.

I've contacted dji and they are zero help with giving me information on how to ship it.

Does anybody have any ideas? I don't think I'll make much money back selling it. Its only a toy drone, I forgot to say that to dhl but I don't know if it will make any difference.

    Thanks in advance

It all depends on how economical you want to be with the truth. I've received and sent drones through the post using DHL, Parcelforce and Hermes.

On the docket I normally put down present or gift and nothing else. Just make sure you have the batteries discharged.

Up to you of course but it can be done.

Thanks for your reply, I might chance it!

Can i ask if you've sent anything internationally? I'm a nervous nelly, paranoid it will be seized and destroyed or something 😳

Why not subtract what it would cost to post from what you paid and fire it up on adverts as a new item in original packaging?

Just back and forth from England, nothing international.....any courier is never 100% safe just depends on what chance you want to take. I've done it before but thats no guarantee of course it would work for you
