Nuts!! This crowd is mental. The amount of plastic beer glasses thrown up in the air each time Hendo wins a leg.

    Fair play to big John
Not many can live with MvG when he's throwing like he was in the early stages

the amount of beer thrown up in the air for hendo match was crazy

I'd be rather suspicious of that last match.

It made for great TV and the crowd were amazing!

Last night was just pure planet darts.

The thought crossed my mind too that MvG went off the boil once he'd the draw in the bag. I was wondering if there was some sort of agreement in place. Hendo still had to hit his numbers though. 6 x 180's 10 x 140's and 35% on his doubles don't go in on their own.

The more I watch the Premier League, the more often I get the same kind of feeling.

Definitely something afoot with the regular "momentum swings" in these games.

Suljovic tonight - can he really win 6 in a row against Cross

I understand it's for all the world a glorified exhibition, but there are betting companies on every sponsorship ticket, both PDC and individual players and substantial bets are being made on these games.

    Something is off.....

betting companys sponsor everything now , soccer teams / leagues / cups etc etc
its all one big fix i suppose now is it?

    jesus lads

Surely if it was all a big fix they would have wanted Barney still to be in contention going into the final night in Rotterdam?

    Tinfoil hats anyone?

:( oh Barney.. you have driven me demented over the last few years when you dropped your head and gave in in so many matvches but by christ he was unreal when he was on form.

    Barney retires with immediate effect

Its time. He just doesn't enjoy it any more. No one escapes Father time. He won the greatest world final ever played and with that came Darts immortality.

MvG tops the table for the 7th consecutive year. Taylor topped it 05-12
    MvG topped it 13-19

Wade v Cross again on Thursday night to make the final while MvG faces his recent nemesis Daryl Gurney.

I think it'll be mvg beating wade in the final or else wade beating Gurney

Wade is the dark horse outside of the big 2 , has a good record in the big games this year , would go off the boil against lesser opposition .

I don't know what the best PL was but it wasn't this years that's for sure.

Out of 17 nights I'd say there were no more than 3 decent nights of darts.
The finals last night were poor in terms of quality and excitement.

Taking boards as a barometer for the popularity of the PL - not one post last night about any of the 3 matches.

I think I watched two nights out of the seventeen, little to no interest at all.

Are they referring to total viewing figures?

Be interested to find out the average viewing figures per night - I reckon they have decreased - too many nights of it now - less is more and all that.

I was abut the same. I watched maybe two nights of the league phase and I watched all of finals night last night.

I think the Premier League is more for the casual darts fan and event junkies.

I tend not to watch any of the non-ranking events bar the World Cup of Darts. There are far too many of them these days.
