A good bit to go yet but I would say the Kid would be delighted to break even this year and then take a break.

 I did not back any of the winners myself, wasc.

I would say he will be very unhappy with all the work gone into it and be minus but thats gambling.

Hard luck Jerry and Del, it was an entertaining year for us observers anyway.

I hope you do it again.

    Thanks for the year.

I think Jerry is punch drunk from all the hard work or all the losers he picked. I hope he gets back up and running again however in my opinion it is far far too much hard work and stress involved (particulary the way Jerry goes about it and the amount he needs/feels he has to reach to make it worth while).
Also take into account the fees Jerry pays for his monthly websites which easily comes to €2k annually.

So the minimum loss for Jerry over the last twelve months is 4k, a fairly big amount to most of us but (and before everyone starts jumping up and down saying "oh is Jerry a millionaire he can drop €4k a year, he is not) before he starts a seasons punting he has an amount set aside to gamble.

Also I would wonder what sort of enjoyment Jerry gets from all this, I know some will say "**** the enjoyment if you are making money but I am a firm believer in enjoying yourself and I would wonder if the enjoyment factor comes into play.

On another note I was asked why if Jerry is in so many sites does he only bet now and again, surely with him being in so many sites there would be strong bets everyday.

I do not know why but if anyone wants the info from these sites I will pm them. Unfortunately I cannot put them up on public forums as they can work out which member is posting, I think cookies and all that, not too sure.

Can I just state for the record, I stopped following the bets sometime back and dropped €2860. If I kept up the chase I would have only dropped €570 but thats gambling.

    Del

Boorowa - 5th in 4.25 at Salisbury last Thursday at 40/1 SP - four lengths behind winner.

I think Del can be forgiven a typo.
