Canada Forum Charter

Purpose:
This discussion forum is about visiting, living and working in Canada (including emigrating from Ireland to the Canada and visa discussion). Comments about politics can be made here, as well as with any discussions that pertain to Canadian culture, economics, business, banking, establishing credit, employment and job hunting, real estate, education, entertainment, sports, humour, etc.

Irish citizens, as well as Irish expats are welcome to participate in discussions, as are Canadian citizens that would enjoy the flavour of an Irish hosted forum about living in Canada.


Boards.ie Policies and Practices:
- No advertising, spamming, or pornography.
- No trolling, flaming, or personal abuse (i.e., challenge the post, not the poster).
- No feeding the trolls (or thanking the trolls, which is just another way of feeding them).
- No backseat modding. If you feel a person or post violates boards.ie policies (or this charter), click the report button [!] in the lower left hand corner of their post, and state your reasons in the report window provided when it opens. Discussing someone’s behaviour and posting it on a thread in this forum is an example of back seat modding.

Specific Forum Additions:
- No thread spoiling. Although humour is welcome, please stay reasonably on thread topic.
- No off topic threads (i.e., must pertain to travelling to, visiting, living in, or emigrating to Canada).
- No excessively long quotes. Short quotes may be used, but long quotes should be linked and not shown.
- No illegal recommendations regarding entry, overstay, action within, or exiting Canada.
- For your own privacy and safety and to prevent spam and scams, please do not post personal email addresses or phone numbers.

TXTspeak is not allowed on this forum for the benefit of all readers. Please take the time to format your responses in a manner that makes them readable to others. Saying that though we all make spelling mistakes, don't stress about these, you can go back and edit posts etc afterwards if you notice it.
