Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Please copy and paste the format for your own teams, edits are permitted up until FPL deadline so nobody should feel screwed over by getting their team in early. Obviously there won't be any price changes for GW1 so there isn't a timeframe within which your team must meet the budget. That will kick in next week, and ensures everyone plays off equal footing regardless of what day of the week they do their team.


    There is still 1 place for this if anyone is interested. If not, we will run with one less people, and the prize split will work in the same percentages but with 30 euro less in the pot.

    When I made up my team for this I didn’t give it one seconds thought, Robbo was straight in over TAA. TAA coming back from injury, Robbo was on fire at the end of the season

    So that has me thinking.

    I misunderstood one of the posts.

    I’d seen ‘no chips’ so had assumed no captains.

    Kind of a shame as we are picking the 11 we want for the week so I think the captain throws in a big level of luck.

    Also haven’t a Scooby Doo about the deadlines.

    Am I right I’m thinking it’s going to be before the final price changes of the week, that we have to pay attention to, rather than the actual deadline itself ?

    Or is there an easier rule of thumb, for example, always have it in 8 or 12 or 24 hours before the first kickoff of the gameweek.

    Your interpretation is the correct one there

    Edit - the reason for that being, if we included the Friday night price rises, people would have a really really limited window of time on a Saturday morning to get their team in and definitely within budget, which we don’t want

    Exactly, hence why the handiest strategy will be to get all teams in on the Friday and only tweak if something changes

    2 things to note:
    1) Players are rising, so make sure your team fits the 100.1 value on Friday
    2) In the somewhat unlikely event that 2 or more people finish the season on the same score, there wont be any tiebreakers, its just a split pot. Theres no transfers to measure on, and there ain't a hope I'm going through 38 gameweeks of data to see who had the most goals :)
