The continued absence of an Irish date is beyond baffling at this stage. It’s a home run for the promoter and they could easily fill any of our outdoor venues.

I’ll be doing Belgium and Amsterdam

Possibly the promotor/Eddie make more from the solo shows in the 3arena than to go out and hire a 30K+ Venue ? With all that entails.

Slane could easily slot in there - very annoying they won't come back here.

I was able to get a ticket to the (Rescheduled) last date in London last year. Was great. It is strange to see them not play here alright. I believe they would fill out Landsdowne no problem. I think they would be too big for the point without playing 3 days or so

Let me be the first to officially confirm without any information at all that Pearl Jam are playing Glastonbury on 28 June :)

Werchter is a great festival for anyone thinking of going abroad to see them. Tickets are easy to get.

Anyone here done one day at Wrechter and travel back to Brussels after the last band?

Sounds like it might be too much hassle but would like to hear opinions.

Unfortunately camping is not a runner.

Spent a fortune last year on tickets, travel, accommodation to see their 2nd London gig and was on my way to the stadium when I heard their announcement to postpone the show. I was bloody gutted. Might try Amsterdam this year

There is a bus you can book for Brussels which leaves the nearest town, Leuven, after the last act of the festival each night. There will be information on the website closer to the time (if not on there already, I haven't looked).

You could also book a hotel in Leuven for the night and travel to Brussels the next day, but be sure to book that early, the hotel prices skyrocket for the festival.

If they ignore Dublin again they can f**k off

So disrespectful to the Irish fans

Its a pity Irish fans can't sue them for neglecting to tour here.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Its not just Pearl Jam tho is it? We're either not attractive to touring bands or the duopoly arent arsed. Its one or t'other.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,067 ✭✭✭PCros

Nothing to do with the band.

Booking agent will contact local promoter and say here are the dates we are looking to do...sometimes it doesn't work out.

June/July next year seems to have a heap of concerts on in the city so it could be a venue issue.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in MCD sometimes...

It has to be the band at this stage, is it the logistics of playing here then shipping to Europe or maybe they couldn't be arsed, can't all be about money at the stage, maybe they think playing London over and over covers it.

anyone got a presale link for Amsterdam please ?

Eddie Got Ireland out of the way when he come over to have a laugh with his buddy Glen Hansard.

The money he made for having a sing -a- long on holiday is what he would have made with PJ , probably more actually seeing how much he charged people to watch him on vacation.

I think the second time I seen them they were in middle of a battle with Ticketmaster as felt their fans were paying too much.... by jasus they have changed their tune since then!!! All they’re interested in now is big easy money venues .... haven’t wrote anything decent in decades .... good luck to them !
