Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I did a search and nothing recent came up in this area. I'm a little surprised. Given what the contractors, media and shop websites are saying, it's very busy this year - I was expecting more discussion here...

    I've been trying to get various contractors out to my house this year, many things have come up at the same time.

    But besides it being busy, so many of the contractors are unreliable I've found. So many non-call-backs, no-shows for quote viewings ... the attitude of a few of them suggests to me sometimes that maybe they wanted a very snappy job and if it's not they can't be bothered. :eek:

    I did get one contractor earlier this year who is solid and for his area of work and I'll call him again when needed.

    Have you got a few things done this year? How did it go?
