The next few people I plan to put together a bio style thing on are The Infomatics and The Animators. I know these can be a pain to put together, so if anyone has any requests let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Bitter Rocc has been busy lately.

He produced the beat on this track for a Cali rapper called Blayze McKee

He's also in the studio producing an entire album for Ace & EJ. These are 2 really good young Irish rappers.

He's working on his final solo album.

He's involved in a singer called Chris Hayes album which will be released in March.

Will be a featured guest on the Boss Level Series.

He's also produced a track for an up and coming singer called Sean Walsh. Very nice contrast in beat and vocals on this one.

The Infomatics have only ever released one album, this was back in 2008 and is called "Kill or Create". This in my opinion was a landmark album in Irish hip hip. It broke down barriers in sound with musical influences from accross a heap of genres. They also introduced alot of live instrumentation into thier performances and recordings. The 2 MC's in the band also had something to
say and could slow things down or deliver in a rapid fire tempo.

The line up consisted of Bugs, BOC, Steo and Mr. Dero.

They won the Sony Ericcson Artist of the Year in 2009.

They also gained national exposure from The Raw Sessions series around the same time.

As far as I know they havent performed as a group together in a number of year now. I've managed to catch them LIVE a few times and the performances were excellent.

Here's a sample track from Kill or Create

Any fan or supporter of the national hip hop movement should really try to source a copy of this. you can even hear the album in full here -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbPbKL_ZFXQ&list=PLCQNxPV-JejrXj_F3NvIs8e-LoFCmjjtc&feature=share

As far as where they are now, MC Steo is still heavily involved in music. He is part of the Spectrum Drum N' Bass crew where he does his DnB MCing at thier events. He's also on the Spectrum show on RTE Pulse on Sunday nights.

He has also collaborated with a host of big names in Drum n Bass and featured as a singer/MC on a number of tracks.

Many people may not know this, but he is actually a great singer as well.
And he is also an excellent beat maker, I dont know him, but we've crossed paths on a number of occassions, and he's good friends with some of my friends. Because of that loose association to him I've managed to hear alot of his beats, and I was blown away. I'm not sure if he ever has plans to do anything with them.

As far as the other members of The Infomatics, I've no idea where they are at now.

As a follow on from the post on Alan Newman earlier in the thread, Boss Level 2 is shaping up nicely, video is in the works and the track has been aired once I believe on the Hip Hop Stop radio show.

If you friend the Boss Level page on FB, you get some promo bits and pieces and verses that are really good.

Also, this interview from the set of BL2 was released today:

You can catch the beat for BL2 in the background of the video, got some whomp to it.

BL3 is also in the works, confirmed rappers so far are:
Siyo, Bitter Rocc, Collie, Shaool, Akil the MC from Jurrasic 5.

And here's another new track from him as well:

The Animators are a collective of rappers, singers, DJ's and producers. The original members are:

    Mango from Malahide: emcee.
    Dizzy from Swords: emcee/producer.
Smokey Jay from Harold’s Cross: vocalist.
    Alan Newman from Inchicore: producer.
    Woody from Blanchardstown: vocalist/emcee.
    Rhymes Vital from Waterford: producer/emcee.
    Mr. HighSpeed from Blanchardstown: emcee/producer.
Dave Treacy from Blanchardstown: DJThey first announced thier arrival back in 2011 with the single and vidoe for How Does It Feel

There was some shuffling about by the looks of things and the members are now:

    MathMan - Producer/ DJ
    Mango - MC
    Ricki Rawness - MC/ Producer
    Russell Flow - MC
    Smokie J - Vocals
    Classquatch - Artist

This is another of thier singles -> New Flow 1.0

The thing I really dig about them is that they look at the full package from beats, lyrics, video, promotion, art, etc. and this produces some slick end product.
They've even managed to record a track with The Hypotic Brass Ensemble who I'm a big fan of.
You can check out thier Sketch album on BandCamp ->
    http://theanimatorsireland.bandcamp.com/album/sketch
You can check out thier Drawn Together album that was released recently on BandCamp -> http://theanimatorsireland.bandcamp.com/

Everything they release alos gets national press coverage which is great to see.

LD put up some descriptions of his albums on FB last night. Interesting reading so Going to quote them here

    LD50
Wrote the majority of this album aged 20 in a much different mindstate to today, some bars from as far back as 18..Time flies! Was rough around the edges but still proud of the **** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5wyFoRfLtw

    LD50 Pt.2
Was in the zone with this one, we knocked it out in 11 months. All the contributors killed it, especially GI. This and Illosophical in my opinion cemented him as the go to beatmaker in the country. Plus we made the media pay attention too. Definitley proud of this one. http://lethaldialect.bandcamp.com/album/ld50-part-ii

    Upcoming 1988 album
Collabed with JackKnife-J on this one after hearing Intervention. The tone is different from older material, no concepts, no socio-political rap. Just true stories, personal ****. Took two years to write because it was a bit out of the comfort zone but its just about done now and has my most honest **** to date and some of J's best beats to date. Keep an ear out for 'Still A Dark Horse'. Proud of this **** also. Hope you's enjoy it! Will be out before summer.

New one with Class A'z. More one for the radio and should get them some mainstream attention as the lad whos track it is was on the voice apparently (something I know nothing about)

I quite like it, obviously different from their usual, but still.

Ha Ha I just remembered about this group from Derry and used to love the album they put out near 10 years ago, listening to it now its pretty pish but this beat is dope!

New video from Rebel Phoenix. His album has been on heavy rotation since I downloaded it!

The amount of videos/tracks/projects coming out now is getting hard to keep up with. Makes a nice change from when only a handful of decent tracks were coming out every month or so!

Anybody have any info on the cork scene of if there is one? Really curious to see what their take on it would be. And excuse my complete lack of knowledge on the subject, this thread is helping to fix that.

Dynamic is a guy who's been around a few years now. His most recent outings where his Boss Level Bits verse which you can see on the Boss Level Page on Facebook. He also was in the Boss Level 1 track.

He's gearing up for an EP release with FUDman on beats, here's the promo video that went out over the weekend. The EP will be called 'This That and the Other'

You can also check out the rest of his tracks on his youtube channel -> https://www.youtube.com/user/dynamiceire1

He is one of the new generation of homegrown rappers that is putting a huge effort into his craft, diverse delivery, decent beat selection, not a rapper that's heavily reliant on similaes, can tell a story. So it's alot easier to listen to then some people's albums recorded over on a 'VTech My First Cassette Recorder', and he's not trying to battle an imaginary person in the room.

    I particularly like this one:
