Father's Profession on civic wedding certs

I have a specialised question regarding a civic wedding cert from 1906.

Basically, there are two professions mentioned where the groom's profession text box is. The first one must be the father of the groom's profession but the second seems to match the bride's father.

Is the bride's father job often mentioned in civic certs even though there is no official for it, or is this unusual?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm a bit confused about where you mean - can you scan the relevant section for us to see?

But yes, it is standard for the bride's father's occupation to be listed, usually beside his name.

If there's a second profession underneath the groom's job, then that's most likely the bride's job. What are the professions?

The box categories are as below and written as groom first, then bride below in the same box.

Basically I was trying to describe the details on my own cert. I didn't do it very succinctly however.
In simpler terms, do these certs usually give the occupation of the father of both the bride and groom?

    yes

summary of the details you should see in that section of the form :
    No. - reference
    When married - date
Name & Surname - of bride & groom
Ages - of bride & groom (often just as 'full age')
Condition - of bride & groom (e.g. spinster, bachelor, widow etc)
Rank or Profession - of groom (and bride if applic.)
Residence at time of marriage - of bride and groom
Father's name and surname - of bride and groom
Rank or profession of Father - of bride and groom

On this main section of the cert - the top line relates to details for the groom, lower part for the bride.
