Weekend weather – Storm Dennis arrives making flooding likely 13/02/20.

Weekend weather – Storm Dennis arrives making flooding likely 13/02/20.

Met Office - Weather

After Storm Ciara last weekend, this weekend it’s Storm Dennis. The winds from this storm system are not expected to be as strong as last weekend however, the heavy rain from Dennis is expected to be more widespread than from Ciara and there is a greater risk of flooding over larger areas. Alex Deakin explains.

Another weekend with potential disruption. This weekend the most severe weather looks likely to be over northern areas but most places will experience gusty winds and rainfall and it could turn very wet and windy on Sunday night. Alex Deakin has the latest.

Disruptive weather on Monday? 21/02/20.

Disruptive weather on Monday? 21/02/20.

Met Office - Weather

Whilst further unsettled weather is expected this weekend, with Met Office warnings in place, Monday’s weather could also cause disruption. However, the precise details for Monday’s weather are still uncertain because it all depends on the track that an area of low pressure takes as it crosses northern parts of the country.

Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern explains more.
