Just hope it happens now. My county council has bought new gritters. I saw 2 the other day 2011 plates with big snow blade mounted on front.

I hope we get the weather so their investment would be worthwhile.:D

:)yep its really looking like this winter is going to be cold now, i'd be sunk if it wasnt! ha do you hear doylem, hes really sunk back into his shell, he has nothing now and hes coming up with stupid stuff like saying oh i think long range forecasting is all wrong and nobody will know how this winter will turn out until just before:p and making up charts that dont exist! like he said the charts arent showing any cold til january , and there was no chart that said that he just made it up! i think hes finally given in now:D

Hey Lucreto, What CC is that?
    Thanks

    Kildare County Council.

They need it as Kildare seem to get the worst of it. I think we had about a foot of snow last year. I stuck a 30cm ruler into the snow on my outdoor table and it disappear into it.

He is still spouting off his usual rubbish but your list makes it clear to see where the current trend is leaning. I just want this high to move on now and get some cooler weather back.

A quick glance at the charts (15 days) shows the square root of bugger all for cooling beyond what one would expect in any November.

I think we got more sunshine last December than July just gone. I didn't need my sunglasses but in December I did.

    His username is kenring.

    Thread here.
    and here

His accuracy rate would be higher if he made it up at random instead of using his methods.

Well as i have shown on page 63 back, the set ups do indeed look to be following a weak La Nina trend due to the lag i suggested.Fairly good match so far however it might need tweaking next month as a stronger La Nina influence could be starting to take effect so maybe a blend of these.

Yep. His other username was Gene Derm, but like many others he lost access to it during the hack, so he had to make his new username. If you go a few pages into the second thread I linked he responds to a few queries.

when was this? I never heard of it before now.

winter is as far away as ever. I turned on the telly expecting to see a dusting of snow on the pitch for the Kazan v Tottenham match. Kazan is hundreds of km east of Moscow, almost as far east as the Urals. Not only are the players NOT even wearing gloves but you cant even see their breath.
I checked current weather there +7c.
off topic I know but as I said winter is as far away as ever!:(
(I just remembered Rovers still have to go there)

Going to put my head on the line.

As i have watched the charts for the last 5 years or so.

So i think i have some idea when i spot a changing signal.

I think that there is a strong likelihood we will get a cold outbreak from the north and east from November 20th onwards. At this moment i have no real grasp on the duration of any cold incursion.

I am suggesting a significant cold spell to begin around November 18th - 24th and last for at least 5-7 days.

My local Heatons had sleds, big bags of salt and snow shovels in stock today. ?10 for the shovel but I feel it would break in half knowing Heatons quality products.:D

Might get one just in case it would be better than using a normal shovel.
