Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Welcome to FG Table Quiz - July 2019

    This will be the live thread for the quiz, please feel free to post as you like here throughout the game


    Let me introduce you to the format, instructions and rules.


    FORMAT and INSTRUCTIONS:

    The game will consist of 6 rounds, 5 rounds of general knowledge and 1 themed round.
    Round of questions will be posted by me in this thread each day at around 12:00. I will post 2 rounds together each day, so hopefully the game will run no longer than 3 days.
    Each team should coordinate together to answer the questions, and PM the answers to me by 21:00 same day as the rounds are posted.
    Each general knowledge round will consist of 8 questions, with 1 bonus question.
    Your answer for the bonus question will only be counted if you answer correctly the preceding and related question and if the answer is correct.
    Each question will be worth 2 points, bonus question is worth 1 point, if a team answer all 8 questions correct (excluding the bonus question), they will earn a round bonus of 8 points.
    The themed round will consist of 3 batches of questions, each team should answer only one theme, the one they feel they know better. Please dont answer all 3 themes.
    Each question in the themed round will be worth 3 points, there will be no bonus question in this round nor will there be a round bonus.

    RULES:

    You are not permitted to research the answers, that includes Googling, asking friends (apart from your teammates), or checking books.
    If you have a concern that my answer is wrong for any question, please highlight it via PM
    If the game ends with more than 1 team on the same number of points, those teams will enter into a tie breaker. (Details to be provided if and when needed)
    I will only accept your first answers, so double check them before you PM.
    In the event you forget to answer question(s) in your first PM, I will allow you to answer these in a separate PM.

    That was the initial schedule but I revised it at the beginning of the week. Is this one not good for you?
