I work by myself thankfully, so doesn't apply, in the past I can't remember it being an issue though.

Not anymore. I had an uncle who left the priesthood in the late 60s. The scandal is only just subsiding.

Have you ever broken a bone?

Get a dose of YOLO from time to time but I think covid-time has helped me appreciate the people/things I already have that much more.

    Will you have beers tonight

On a Wednesday? Nah, I wouldn't have a session but I might split a single can, just half each to sip on in about an hour when I'm watching telly with my partner.

To the best of my knowledge I think there's 197 officially recognised independent nations in the world, within reason, let's say 25 minutes, how many of them do you think you could name.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

I'd say i'd get 100 or so. The african countries and all the island countries would get me.

If your partner was getting plastic surgery would it be a pro, con or neutral for you in a partner?

That depends on whether "plastic" surgery is actually a medical or a cosmetic issue. I mean I've no strong opinion either way on my BF wearing glasses, but if he wanted to get laser surgery on his eyes then ok, if that's really what he wants then I suppose I'd go along with it. On the other hand if he wanted to get his ears tucked back or pump a load of that poison sh1te into his lips (sorry, can't remember the name and couldn't be bothered googling it) then maybe I'd have to say that's a colossal waste of money, pay from your personal account and not our joint account for that one.

On a similar note, do you personally know anyone who openly acknowledges getting surgery done purely for vanity/cosmetic reasons? I don't mean someone who got a bit fukced up in a car accident or a fire now, I mean someone who thinks themselves more attractive on account of the size of their nose or whatever.

I do indeed and they were happy with the results. It was the lip thing...unhappy with their thin lips. It does actually look nice in this case but some of them lip jobs can be terrible.

    Do you have any pets?
