    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experiences with BOI mortgage drawdown? Our solicitor requested the money last Friday by post so they should hopefully have received the request yesterday (Monday). Our solicitor banks with BOI too.

Any advice or experiences to share would be very appreciated!!

Hi, we got ours in May within 5 or 6 days.

As someone who is literally right in the middle of this phase also, here is a direct quote from our person in BOI.

"Do you know if your solicitor is a BOI customer-the reason being that if they are once they request funds it will be with them within 24/48 hours, if not it can take 3-5 working days so we need to factor this in with closing date agreed to ensure funds will be there on time."

So if your solicitor is with BOI it should be 24-48 hours.

Brilliant, thanks a million to you both for replying. We needed to sign another form for the life assurance today so this will delay things but we are hoping to close next week so we should be okay if it generally takes a few days.

Had a mortgage with Ulster before and drawing that down took weeks!

    Thanks :)

Completed a house purchase with a BOI Mortgage in September. Found the in branch part straight forward, but actually getting the funds released from central office was not. I'd recommend that you keep following up on it to ensure all is in place. We found communication from their end very poor. Not helped by the fact that the guy we were dealing with went on holidays without advising us if all had gone through. Turns out it had but it would have saved a lot of stress if they told us that.

Just keep on top of everyone. Lot's of communication and questions. Daily.

    Good luck and congrats.
